These modules are not meant to be included by user code, they are
only an internal implementation detail for CPack. Having them live
in the main Modules directory with documentation was misleading, so
they have been moved into Modules/Internal/CPack, and their
documentation has been stripped following its move into the new
"CPack Generators" section. No-op modules which contained only
documentation have been removed entirely.
The only module that hasn't been moved is CPackIFW, because it
contains user-facing macros which would be lost if it were moved.
So, the CPackIFW module has been updated with a note explaining what
needs to (eventually) happen.
Run the `clang-format.bash` script to update all our C and C++ code to a
new style defined by `.clang-format`. Use `clang-format` version 6.0.

While some features require external Unix tools the
generator is mostly portable.
By enabling it on Windows it can be used for cross platform
packaging.
Monolithic deb packages were packaged
with invalid md5sums file as trailing
slash in path was causing string replace
to fail and preserve build path.

Per-source copyright/license notice headers that spell out copyright holder
names and years are hard to maintain and often out-of-date or plain wrong.
Precise contributor information is already maintained automatically by the
version control tool. Ultimately it is the receiver of a file who is
responsible for determining its licensing status, and per-source notices are
merely a convenience. Therefore it is simpler and more accurate for
each source to have a generic notice of the license name and references to
more detailed information on copyright holders and full license terms.
Our `Copyright.txt` file now contains a list of Contributors whose names
appeared source-level copyright notices. It also references version control
history for more precise information. Therefore we no longer need to spell
out the list of Contributors in each source file notice.
Replace CMake per-source copyright/license notice headers with a short
description of the license and links to `Copyright.txt` and online information
available from "https://cmake.org/licensing". The online URL also handles
cases of modules being copied out of our source into other projects, so we
can drop our notices about replacing links with full license text.
Run the `Utilities/Scripts/filter-notices.bash` script to perform the majority
of the replacements mechanically. Manually fix up shebang lines and trailing
newlines in a few files. Manually update the notices in a few files that the
script does not handle.
Use clang-tidy's readability-simplify-boolean-expr checker.
After applying the fix-its, revise all changes *very* carefully.
Be aware of false positives and invalid changes.
Use clang-tidy's performance-unnecessary-value-param checker to find
value parameter declarations of expensive to copy types that are not
modified inside the function. Ignore findings in kwsys.
After applying the fix-its, manually change `const T&` to `T const&`.
This patch preserves backward compatibility of
deb package names with previous CMake versions
but similarly to CPack/RPM allows to change
package name format and supports DEB-DEFAULT
setting that produces proper Debian package names.

lexicographic order (except to prioritize `sys/types.h` first). First

second commit. Manually resolve conflicts to preserve indentation of
re-ordered includes. This cleans up the include ordering without

Changes in commit v3.4.0-rc1~79^2~1 (CPackDeb: use of libarchive and
removal of fakeroot, 2015-09-11) accidentally set the wrong compression
scheme for the `control.tar.gz` file. Set it explicitly to GZip.
The changes in commit 47b060ae (CPackDeb: allow empty directories in
component packages, 2015-09-21), commit b58de9fe (CPack: allow packaging
of empty directories, 2015-09-21), and commit b761e90d (CPack: remove
accidental changes, 2015-09-22) regressed packaging of CMake itself.
Revert the changes until they can be revised and rebased on other
changes that make additional fixes.
Preparation for per component variables.
Patch makes sure we know which variables
will be set for per component generator
and also prevents accidental overflows
of variable values between components.
Extend the RunSingleCommand signature to capture stdout and stderr
separately. Allow both to be captured to the same std::string
to preserve existing behavior. Update all call sites to do this
so that this refactoring does not introduce functional changes.
